New Jerseys, Promotions, and Theme Nights Await Raptors Fans in 2024-25

The Toronto Raptors are back for the 2024-25 season, and this year comes with some exciting updates for fans. Whether it's new jerseys, special theme nights, or an enhanced fan experience at Scotiabank Arena, there's plenty for Raptors enthusiasts to look forward to as they support their team.

Revamped Scotiabank Arena

Over the summer, Scotiabank Arena underwent extensive renovations as part of Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment's (MLSE) $350-million reimagination project. The recent unveiling of the second of four phases has transformed the arena, promising an even better experience for fans this season.

The updates include a redesigned 100-level concourse, a brand new social club, and the renovation of the exclusive Hot Stove restaurant. “Our objective of this phase was to really create an incredible fan experience,” said MLSE Chief Operating Officer Nick Eaves. “I think we’ve done that in a bunch of different ways.”

New Jerseys and Merchandise

This season, the Raptors will bring back their iconic purple as part of the classic edition uniform, evoking nostalgia from the team's early years. The retro-themed look, featuring purple as the primary color rather than red, celebrates the team's heritage and connects current fans to the Raptors’ history. Additionally, a fifth jersey featuring the Raptor mascot performing Vince Carter’s legendary between-the-legs dunk from the 2000 NBA dunk contest will be released on November 14.

Fans can purchase these new jerseys at Scotiabank Arena’s expanded Real Sports Apparel store, which now features a 2,600-square-foot space on the 100 level. The store offers items based on theme nights and events, making it easier for fans to pick up their favorite gear. The use of radio frequency identification technology at checkout ensures that purchases are faster than ever before, reducing average transaction time from 45 seconds to 12 seconds.

Exciting Promotions for Fans

Popular promotions are also making a return this season. Fans at Scotiabank Arena can look forward to receiving a free slice of Pizza Pizza the next day if the Raptors score 100 points or more in a home game. Additionally, fans can enjoy free fries from McDonald's if the Raptors make 12 or more three-pointers, with a minimum $3 purchase through the app. “We’ve got a whole bunch of ideas that will play out over the season that our fans can look forward to,” Eaves added.

Theme Nights to Celebrate Raptors Moments

The Raptors have several theme nights planned to celebrate important anniversaries and memorable events. Highlights include Vince Carter's jersey retirement on November 2 versus the Sacramento Kings, the 25th anniversary of Carter's legendary dunk contest victory on February 12 against Cleveland, a 1990s Decade Night on February 5 against Memphis, and a 2000s Decade Night on March 7 against Utah. The themed events will also extend to the arena itself, with new LED screens and over 70 million pixels worth of large format display allowing the arena to reflect each night's theme.

The Raptors will also host two Emirates NBA Cup games (previously the in-season tournament) on a specially designed court that has yet to be revealed. “We will be able to transform the arena into whatever uniquely is happening that night,” Eaves said, hinting at a complete immersive experience for fans both inside and outside the arena.

New Fan Experience Additions

To further improve the game-day experience, Scotiabank Arena has launched a second concession stand that uses Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology. Fans can grab their favorite snacks without waiting in line—once a credit card is tapped at the entrance, overhead cameras detect items and charge the card automatically as fans leave the stand.

The new MNP Pass Social Club is another addition that promises to thrill fans. Located at the event level, it provides a unique opportunity for fans to watch the Raptors and visiting teams walk through the tunnel on their way to and from the locker rooms. The Hot Stove restaurant on the 200 level has also been redesigned and is now accessible to all ticket holders without a membership, though tables may be hard to reserve as they tend to fill up quickly.

As the Raptors continue to grow and evolve, the experience for fans becomes even more engaging. This season promises to be a memorable one, with plenty of opportunities for fans to celebrate the team's history, enjoy new experiences, and cheer the Raptors on to success.
